Also during his set, which was backed by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Eminem reunited with fellow Detroit rapper Trick Trick to perform their 2005 single "Welcome 2 Detroit." He closed the show with then performed his 2010 song "Not Afraid," which ended with fireworks from the stage.
"Detroit, we're out," the Grammy winner said before exiting the stage. "We love you."
While Eminem had not been listed on the show's line-up ahead of time, he was heavily involved in the project as he co-executive produced the event with his manager Paul Rosenberg. The "Lose Yourself" rapper's four-track mini-set marked his longest performance since he took the stage at his Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction in 2022.
